The Salem Moravian Band has a long and illustrious history of family involvement, to the extent that it almost became a family tradition to play in the band.
The following families were actively involved for two or more generations:

In addition, there always were, and still are, numerous brothers, sisters, cousins and other relatives playing together. There are several instances of fathers and sons, fathers and daughters, one of mother and daughter, one of father, son and daughter, one of father, mother and daughter, husband and wife, and even one whole family, that is, father, mother and two sons playing together.
